AKEMI’s current innovation range centres on HeiQ Allergen Tech™, a biobased textile finish that uses prebiotics and active probiotics to reduce allergen residues on the fabric surface, including dust mite matter, pet allergens and pollen. Serene applies the technology to moisture-managing TENCEL™ Lyocell quilt cover sets at 930TC and 1200TC, with fitted-sheet pockets up to 43cm. Cheeky Cheeks uses the same functional finish on breathable 850TC cotton twill, adding colourful children’s patterns and 38cm pockets. The technology changes the function of the textile without replacing the qualities of its base fibre.
